We have traveled across Europe, Far East and Caribbean and have never stayed in such an idyllic place. Thank you so much for your hospitality, we will be back!!  Please never spoil the peace and tranquility of this wonderful spot. – Elaine & David Upton, Harewood house, Leeds, UK.

The most non-polluted (eco friendly) place on earth. A place which has no use for an automobile or even a motorbike or a bicycle too! Walking is the only mode of commuting. You reach the place by a boat (you can swim if you please!!!) No wonder Kerala is called the “God’s own country”. It truly fits the definition. The place is absolutely calm, quite and literally ‘serene’. We truly enjoyed our stay “absolutely fantastic”. The place is “truly Heritage”. The building is totally authentic right from the roof tiles which are dated 1871. the massive wooden doors, the door locks, even the totally wooden hinges. Indeed a historian’s delight. “A project for an Architect”. The authentic rice (paddy) granary, reminds one of the leisurely by gone era. The intricate carving, and the wonderful maintenance deserves acknowledge. The leisurely boat ride, on a country boat, prop eked along by a single “Oonalkaran” a long bamboo stick is truly wonderful. The genuinely ancient temple at “Moncomb” dedicated to “Devi Bhagavathi” is said to be more than a thousand years old. If you really want to visit “A paradise on earth” totally undisturbed by age one must visit “Emerald Isle”. Added to that you have Vinod and his entire family. “Hosts per excellence”. The personal touch they add to your visit is truly heartening. You feel you are totally at home. The food is fantastic. The ambience is inimitable, and the hospitality is truly genuine and heartfelt. We are positively planning to come again, but if anybody would ever want to enjoy a truly, laid truly back, leisurely holiday, “Emerald Isle” is the place. We truly wish Mr. Vinod & his entire family all the best, and may God bless him & is family in maintaining the “Paradise on Earth” totally undisturbed. -  Savithri S. Janardhan

Thank you very much for taking care of us in such a wonderful way. Here we found the peace and paradise we were looking for. Not to forget the most delicious food we had. Please stay the same way as you are! – Petra & Robert , Cologne, Germany.

P.S. We will carry the wonderful experience and keep recollecting the ‘calm, secure’ feelings wherever we get distressed with ‘modern’ living. Thanks to all the people who have made this experience possible. God bless!

P.S. Don’t forget to see the palm leaf will and news paper of 4th November 1909.

Alas our time here was much too short. To find such a peaceful place, with such care and attention to our every need has been a wonderful experience. We will take home memories of the temples in the evening, the river trip and the sounds and sites of the river bank. Our thanks to all of you and much success for the future. - Lee & Jane, Whitstable, Kent, England.`

Thank you for your hospitality. The boat trip was very interesting. The Emerald Isle is the most peaceful place we have stayed and the house is a delight. The room was very comfortable and the open air bathroom very unique. If ever we return to Kerala we will definitely call in here to see you. We both wish you the very best for the future & success in your business -Sally, Jane England.

Well, after the 16 hour or so delay at Abu Dhabi we both thought it would take us around a week to wind down – but not so! The house, the river and the surrounding beauty has taken our breath away. You have been made to feel at home with your warm hospitality. The food has also been fabulous and the portions very generous. We both wish you the best of luck for the future, but would ask that in your success you don’t sell out on the best features – tranquility & space. All the best, much love - Simon & Vijay, Essex, England.
